-back up for now, lets see how this goes. he did re-terminate some wires, and there is no more static in my phone lines. -its possible that connection issues will persist, if that is the case my ISP will be replacing an existing line in the house that they are using. Instead of running a new line to the modem, they used an existing line.
Apparently, if there are still issues going forward the technician will come out when I call him directly

connection issues still happening - same condition as before. I will be calling that tech tomorrow, and he said most likely he will not be able to get here till Monday. per the tech, first he will put in a new line from the outside box to the modem. Then, a new modem if needed.
sorry the interruptions.

Proof of Concept:
I have completely bypassed my 'New ISP' and now running on my old cable modem. Lets see if the DC's continue.

ok, I now begin my public flaming of AT&T U-Verse installation(as I told them I would). The company sucks from start to finish, from front end customer service (which was laughable, at best they are incompotent) to the back-end technicians that come out the house.
-they screwed up my original install date and THEY re-scheduled -on the re-scheduled date, they had the wrong address and went to a house 3 doors down. -had to reschedule again -when the tech did show up, he asked why did I re-scheduled my appointment? (he should have got f-bombed right there) -the tech that did the isntallation got to my house at 10:30am, didnt leave till 7:15pm that night!!! -Intermittant disconnections from the VERY start (as ppl on this board already know) -multiple technicians sent to the house on multiple occasions, none of them have a freakin clue what to do. -my first bill was for $85 more than the signed invoice I had. -they were supposed to send me a 40inch television after the first 30 days(jan 12th instllation). its now 2/17 and no television sent.
AT&T, at best, are a bunch of clowns that have no idea what customoer service, or how to maintain Quality of Service. I have had NOTHING but trouble since day 1 of going with them. I cannot begin to explain, and this post doesn't do it justice, about how mad I am with AT&T.
All that to say, the server is hard down because the AT&T connection is hard down (even after a tech was onsite this morning). The server wont be back till after 6pm pacific time when I get home tonight.
I sincerely apologize for all this BS and for interrupting connections to the server. I am attempting to resolve this ASAP; but I am dealing incomptence, and a company that has no consideration for customer service, or customoer satisfaction.

No need to apologize man. I think I can speak for everyone by saying we appreciate what you are doing in hosting. Sorry for all the headaches AT&T is causing you. Kick back, do what you do to relax, and don't worry about our griping about the server. After all, you are the one doing all the work. Hope you have a nice night.

NP here. If you have anything you want me to test let me know. Personally though I'm at the point where I'd rather test group stuff with shaman or paladin though.

Update - spoke to a service manager tonight, and he apparently confirmed there are issues in the line from the CO to my house.
-this manager confirms there are no issues in the residence (This after a new router and new line ran inside my house) -in order to resolve the issue in the line from the CO to my house, it will require them to 'get up the pole'. -I will lose connection during the time they will be doing this work (this will happen on Wednesday, or Thursday) I will post back here when I find out more.
ok, with the new router I'm want to try a config that worked with my original ISP, but didn't work with the last router I had. Its real easy to test it out, all I need is for one person to be in pok, while a second person zones into ToV. Hopefully, no one gets disconnected.(in pok, or ToV)
If successfully, then please gate from to ToV to pok.Hopefully, no one gets disconnected.(in pok, or ToV)
If no one gets DC'd during that simple 'pok/ToV gate', then the new config should be ok. If a DC does happen, i'll have to use a different config. Both config's are fine, but I would rather go with the first scenario if it works.
