I noticed that health and mana don't regen at the accelerated rate if you have any lingering ill effects such as a disease. I am not sure if this is intended, but I remember this wasn't the case on Furn's server, so thought I would mention. Some diseases can last quite a long time in which case you have to cure them or wait to wear off before you get the fast health/mana regen while sitting.

This also applies to slow spells like Tagar's.

actually, that is the way it is supposed to work. Similar to PVP when a low level DoT is used to counteract(or stop the regen). even a low level DoT(like heart flutter) will stop regen effects.
I know that some of these effects can last hours, so I put in an NPC that will cure curses and disease counters (although I don't think its cures SLOW). But for sure it will cure those curses you get from SSRA(the ones that last for 3 hours)
The NPC that casts the cure doesn't advertise that he casts the cure (and he also casts a heal spell as well). This NPC will cast this heal and cure immediately upon hailing him. As with other cures, you may need to have the cure cast on you multiple times to get all the counters off your toon.
I'll give you a hint, the NPC that casts cure is one of Birdman's crew.(of course you will need to finish the birdman fetch quest before you can talk to any of bird's crew)

You would get Mummy Rot or Tashed and it would be a while before you would regen (Tash has poison counters like Slow has disease). It got changed sometime though. You are correct that at some point you would get the fast regen even if you did have an effect on you. Hmmm just thinking, Trakanon killed me a couple times because I had no way to cast cure disease (or poison, whatever it was) with my mage. Kind of anticlimactic to loot up, and sit down in PoK to die. There is some shield from PoHate with cure disease that is clickable for anyone, but I could never get it to drop.

One change I am considering making to this NPC is putting a casting time on the heal/cure. Currently, he cures/heals instantly upon hailing him, I could see this possibly causing a lag issue if lots of ppl spam him at once. So to combat that I may put a short casting time on the cure/heal.
