Leveling up my bard was semi-ok, AoE kiting, never really dieing, awesome right?

Wrong.

DPS is so low at the moment for bards that even equivalent geared to a Monk (Monq) I'm being outdps'd by 6-7x.

Solution to this would be to make our songs scale.

We should be able to kill something just as fast, if not more efficiently than other classes (Monks are op with triple atk and their dmg table so they don't count).

Regen songs should scale so it's not ticking 40hp at 20khp.

Damage songs should scale so i'm not doing 61dmg pbaoe DoTs to lvl 65 mobs (which is about .3% a tick in most zones)

Utility songs should scale as well, and maybe make dex or something scale via the same way resonance does? IDK your call.

Or add performance resonance as a buff, idk.

I agree that the DoT songs are pathetic if you are trying to solo kite. It obviously won't work very well. I don't think any other scaling needs to be adjusted though. Melee damage table seems good to me. You should be hitting just as hard as a warrior from what I can gauge. If you start scaling resist songs bards will be way too OP having 500 resists all the time. It seems to me everyone is blasting through content just fine without having problems taking out any mobs, so I don't see much cause to complain.

Kind of agree with you Higbi, except that Bards don't get double attack (except for some AA?).

But then again Bards... can do all kinds of stuff. They pull in most situations better than a monk could ever dream of. They can crowd control and get rid of a lot of debilitating conditions that cripple other classes. And tons of stuff I didn't mention.

Then you have things like Highsun which can be used for freaky things (well if we cared about pulling other than odd situations on this server). Fading memories... lots and lots in the bard toolkit.

I think Wizards and Enchanters need help much more, but I do think the dot songs should scale.

I will say I never figured out how you were supposed to do the epic unless Trakanon was permadead though.

Yeah, bards are awesome for their usefullness. My 60 warrior with 850 str and SBoZ/BoC hits for 4-5k where my bard does at most 5k CRITS and i'm pretty decently geared

I could be better. I cannot solo in VP, have to use highsun and mage pet a lot. It's gotten a lot better with AA, I double attack sometimes and crit now. I guess regen/dots could stack, I couldn't see resist song scaling because that'd be retarded to have 500 in all resists. I resist most stuff at 350 each.
