im a lvl 65 monk, 1k str 10k hp for a little background knowledge.
I need some advice on how to progress from here or how to get around it, or if im getting something wrong/doing it wrong. I can tank endurance fights really easily and its no problem, but when it comes to casters, they usually kill me with dots before i can kill it or even if i kill it i die from the dot and the zone resets, etc. I just want to know if there's something i can do to help or just to get more hp items and tank the dots better??? I see people doing pop zones easily it seems and im struggling just to do ssra or ntov :T

get your upgraded charm, it has radiant cure on it. That will take care of your dot problem.

Well that means my theory that playing a Paladin would be a solid choice wasn't that good. Zerker or Warrior or any melee would be a much better choice in light of that.
Really the curse removal was the only spell I ever bothered casting.

i must sound like an idiot for asking this, but any help on who to talk to upgrade the charm?? i cant find anything about it unless its right in front of me and i dont realize it.

I don't think it is an upgrade. It is a halfing who hangs out in the bad part of PoK.
You will need a spell that is only available in LDoN (Lesser Curse), or research. Probably need to find someone who has leveled research to make one for you, though you can get LDoN's if you have one other partner I think.
Oh I didn't specify, but it is a different charm (the original will fit in an ear slot as well as charm).

for this spell, since i cant really do ldon by myself, and no one is ever really on to help or research it at least, does that mean i need to level my own caster and research my own spell? thanks for clarifying the information for me

You can actually do LDoN by yourself. You just need another char grouped with you to get the mission, then you can solo it (though you could easily just park the char in the LDoN zone while you soloed it).
And you can box on this server, though in this case you are just doing it to get the mission. I guess you'd have to level him to 55 or something though.
As for the research... I never did it on live or messed with it. Plus it's not real clear to me how to do research on this server. EMU is problematic with that kind of thing if you look at EQ traders and their stuff.
I have a 65 mage, but I have just never messed with it.

Ruatha Powersurge.
I have some bad news though. I just leveled research and managed to make the Remove Lesser Curse scroll. The bottleneck for this is a Raw Fine Hide. It appears the best place to get this item is Permafrost, off of goblin casters like priests, evokers, mendicants, etc. Though you will be there a while.
I turned in Remove Lesser Curse to the Powersurge guy (he is a halfling laying on the ground in the bad area of PoK). But the next item is wants is "Remove Curse."
There are a bunch of remove curse spells, Remove Minor/Lesser/Greater. You can research these, but he wants "Remove Curse." No idea if he would take another one, but according to what I can gather, you cannot research this spell. It is a rare drop off of The Great Saphrophyte in Echo Caverns. It's like a 30% drop chance or something, and the spawn is like 3 hours. You could spend a while getting this one. I'm going to see if another client lets me look up spell recipes in the container (couldn't do it with ROF2 client). But it looks like this will be a Pita (unless it is sold in LDoN, and I'm not sure it is).

the spawn for TGS is closer to 2hrs mostly, i farmed it for a few days (got a bunch of copies of the spell, it was rare but wasn't THAT rare) i parked an alt there logged in and waited for it to pop then would just travel back on my main.

Well it gets worse. After the Saphrophyte drop, you have to do part of the Necro epic quest to get a "Refined Manisi Herb." I got the herb off the Grand Herbalist in Chardok, but now you have to run all over the place to do the first part of the quest. You know to get someone to refine it.
