Trying to defeat sub-elemental boisses with my Monk, maxx aa's and best gear obtainable in the game right now...
Are these bosses supposed to be this tough? They'd have killed a Rogue or Warrior four or five times over with similar gear; forget trying this in actual "pop era" gear.
IMHO they hit about ten times too hard and often on a melee char with 5100 AC.
Seriously, test any of them... Mith Marr, Sol Ro, even Aerin'Dar was not soloable at the level one would normally encounter them in "true" progression.
And if these sub-Elemental bosses are this hard, it bodes ill for melee characters attempting the Ele planes and forget Time.
We all know that some classes solo better than others, and Paladins are godly because they tank and heal, but I am really concerned about the tuning of some of these encounters.
thanks for reading

I can use this with my current pet scaling testing, I have been doing alot of testing in nToV and have got some really encouraging results. I can move the testing over to some PoP bosses, and see what comes of it. (as far as PoP-boss testing)
I am finishing off the pet scale system, and want to get the whole pet scale system implemented tonight. This include all of the item, and spell changes, along with other various db changes included but not limited to swapping out all existing pet focus gear with 'envious' versions of the same item. I spent last night leveling out pets that are based on STR, WIS, or INT.
its a new approach to pet scaling than what was done prior; now there are clicky belts that will come with a pet focus item, and that belt (or Cord, as it is called) will give additional boosts to the already scaled pet.
I already noticed that with a necromancer pet, I was not able to just mow thru everything (as it was previously). I actually needed to use pet heals, and DoTs to effectively fight the nToV cycle. The NEC i was using in nToV was probably a little overpowered for that area, so moving to a PoP boss is a good logical next step in testing (and to verify your point of pop-boss difficulty). So far what i have seen, the pet scaling system is light years better than it was in the previous incantation. All of source-code has already been complied and is currently in use on TEST, along with all of the item, DB changes, i am currently attempting to just fine tune the balance between classes. (one thing, non-pet classes will have scaled pets, but they wont be as strong as pet classes.) Even for classes like druids, and shaman, some of the 'envious' pet focus items will work for them (like the encyclopedia from hate) and that encyclopedia will be effective on all pets to 65. The difference being, traditional 'pet' classes will get other, more powerful focus items at higher lvls when the 'non-pet' classes will not.
