Do you think it might be possible to get the keys we use and re-use added to the keyring list? like the PoSky keys ( they've been added on Live servers ) and the Najena keys, any of them that we end up having to either store in the bank to access the area more than once or that we have to re-acquire if we don't stash them...OR the bloody Temporary ones...that, or just give everyone the lockpick skill, and make all locks pick-able...  |

this appears to be a little easier than I thought...I am going to start with PoS and Najena keys. I should have something on the live box within a day or 2.
Basically, what the plan is, once the key is obtained a player will need to use it on the proper door initially one time, it will then be added to the keyring. preliminary testing seems to work well.

Plane of Sky keys now go to keyring after the first time they are used. this behavior is live now.
all major 'island to island' keys go to the keyring. whether you get to azarack island from fairy island or noble island, the key goes on keyring.
The veeshan's key*** that is purchased on island one (that leads to the quest island) DOES NOT go on keyring.
*** not to be confused with Veeshan's key that goes from island 7 to island 8 (that one does go on the keyring)
I'll work on najena next (hopefully tomorrow)

YAYS! The PoSky keys were changed over several years ago on the live servers, storing 7 keys in the bank was just too much inventory space to lose...the Seb key and Charasis key go on it as well...that seb key was a major pita to hunt down components for ( I realize that Jane will TP us into those zones, was just commenting on the Verant mindset of screwing with players )...

What if any shortcuts could be made to the Veeshan's Peak key? I am about to start this, but there is no realistic way to gear up 11-12 characters with this Key/Augment. Mayhaps have a droppable Key/Augment drop from bosses inside VP? If "Lore"... Players would then have to choose between using the Augment in their present armor and/or gearing up ONE other character per run. Naturally, it would be just as easy to put the Key on a merchant somewhere for a relatively obscene amount of Plat or tokens; something comparable to the time sink of the original VP quest without the exact same blockages or player collision; just something/anything to be different, and break up the monotony of "key camps" cool ideas, I'll need to grind on this for a bit. so, the VP key quest would still need to done at least one time; then that toon could run VP and get an 'Augment/loot item/etc' that could used by that toon, or passed on to another (and that 'Augment/loot item/etc' grants VP access) ? |
