First off - I would definitely like to see items that are NOT x5 boosted, as long as they don't violate the '127 stat restriction' I am open to manually boosting that item in the DB.
here is the issue with the x5 Items stuff seeming to be somewhat inconsistent.
the 'item x5 boost' was one the absolute very first things I ever did once I got the server up an running. SQL being the one strength I had when I started this server, it was what I felt most comfortable with. The problem was, I wasn't sure what direction the server was headed in. My query that boosted items only boosted items that were of a certain itemtype, and also I didn't want to effect any quest items(at the time, I didn't know if that was going to invalidate quest items). Plus there is a hard-coded CAP on certain stats. for example, if an item has over 127INT on it, it will start to return negative numbers. So if I was multiplying by 5, I limited by query to any items that currently had between 1 and 25 value of any stat being boosted. for example, if an item had 1INT and another 25INT, those items will now have 5INT, and 125INT respectively. If I were to multiply an item that has 26int(or str, wis, etc) the final value would be above 127, and then return a negative number.
So a hammer with +50STR, if it were to be boosted the expectation would be that it gets boosted to +250STR, but since there is a hard coded cap on certain stats, the STR stat may end up being -118STR.
The above explains most of why certain items are boosted and some are not. The other reason why an item may have been missed is because I limited my 'items x5 query' by ITEMTYPE as well.
-Currently, I don't see a way around the 127 value cap, I think the reason that is capped that way is the value being called is a signed 8-bit integer (-128, 127).
-This STAT-value cap can ultimately drive the level cap of the server, hence the current 65 max.
-One glimmer of hope --- The 127limit DOES NOT apply to the heroic stats, that has been tested. In testing, I have items with 100's(over 127) of heroic INT points, I'm pretty sure I've had 1000INT point on one item and all was good(mod successfully scaled with the heroic stats).
-its possible the use of heroic stats on items with ceratin stats above 127, maybe that is a way of pushing the level to 70 or higher.

Hey I'm not going to repost any of your text, but I do want to put something up.
I spoke with a former player on Vengful, I'm not going to post his name though I doubt he would mind.
But he stated (and I had to agree with him), that Vengful was too easy after you got Time gear. Really sometime before that. I'm not sure about soloing Vulak, but just about anything other than select mega mobs was possible when you started getting Tier 2 PoP stuff. The formulas seem a little different here than Vengful, but in the long run, with GoD and Omens stuff available I don't know how things play out. Plus we have static zones of expansions past those two you can get to now.
I did a little looking at those later ones. It seems like I saw a lot of loot with level reqs on it. I know there were some really nice pieces I saw on the MQEmulator site that had req level 68 and whatnot on it (Serpent's Spine, Depths of Darkhollow).
I don't know how long Beta is going to be, but in your shoes I'd like to see what characters with Omens gear played like before I went live. We are leveling pretty quickly here, but it could easily take a month before we saw many guys with top end gear from Omens.

I hear what your saying, and it is something I have thought about quite a bit. Initially I was using my necro to gauge this server against vengeful (trying to make them the same). Vampira on vengeful was VT geared, and could walk thru ToV with little problem, only vulak needed a strat, everything else was a zerg kill. It was fun to do that for sure, but I also thought "if were doing this, i'd make 'this', or 'that' slightly more tough." I could see things getting maybe too easy (but it was still super fun, however)I have a few ideas that I am kicking around to try to balance the game out, I would really like to up the cap to at least 70. Just one of the ideas I have thought about, would be instead of x5 stat items, making them x4 stat items.

X4 stats from items would fix the issue with items that have over 25+ to a stat, and if people aren't able to take certain bosses yet that will just promote social interaction where as if someone is so OP that they can just walk through anything then the server might become unfun so I think 4X stats is a great idea.

X4 stat increases was applied on 2/14

Queens' Carapace has its stats boosted apart from AC , Phase spider carapace is fine though

Queens' Carapace AC was boosted, its now at 148 Not sure when this was updated, but as of this writing I had two drop and both still had the 37AC with all of the other stats boosted
