Yellow Item Slot

I have an item slot on my character that is yellow (chest).  Whenever I add or remove an item the stats don't change.  For example I have a Dusty Breastplate and when I equip it the item slot background is yellow.  If I try to swap my Minataur Ribcage in the slot the stats don't change and the background remains yellow.

It's probably not a bug, but I'm not sure what caused that to happen or how to fix it.

I think it is because your race class combo shouldn't actually be able to equip it, but the client lets you do it anyway.

You are correct. I checked and both of those aren't usable by barbarian race but I can equip them as an ornamentation. I wasn't aware since it let me equip them.
